OK, so perhaps not the most beautiful bird in Florida. On land, they are pretty ugly. In the sky, they are beauty to behold. They grow to over three feet in height and have a wingspan of over five feet.
The wood stork is the only stork breeding in the United States. They breed in Florida in the winter dry season when the fish accumulate in smaller pools of water.
