This family of sandhill cranes came into the yard and the father went to the bird feeder and literally emptied it in a few minutes. He pulled out as much seed as he could so the others could eat. How could we be upset when dad was providing for his family?

Just a note about the black can in the right side of the photo; it is a baffle to prevent the squirrels from getting to the seed. The bird feeder is above the can. Works like a charm.
