A popular bush used in Florida landscape, the plumbago is also know as Cape Leadwort.  The flowers grow an a bushy plant that needs to be trimmed to keep it from getting too big. It will grow to be a ten foot diameter bush if left alone. We keep ours to about three feet in height. The flowers are popular with the butterflies.

It bloom almost all year long, except during the coldest months (January-March).

Don’t be concerned about cutting off some flowers when you trim the plant; they grow back within a few days.
